Before you can request Google about content or URL removal, you have to submit your website to Google webmasters tools. Google Webmasters tools is the place, were webmasters gain access to all form of data that Google have about your site. After submitting your internet site to Google webmasters tools and verifying site ownership, visit dashboard of your respective website online webmaster account. Try looking in the left sidebar and check out 'Crawler access' beneath the 'Site Configuration' menu. There on right site you will observe tab called 'Remove URL', visit it and ask for the URL you need to remove from Google.

Before you can put URL removal request, please be aware that, Google will need minimum 90 days to process your posts removal request. You can also cancel that removal request in this Three months waiting period.

Once you've submitted the content removal request, you have to block the Google access to that content by using one of the below mentioned steps.
1. Stop Google bot access using 404 'Not Found' Header: this can be accomplished simply by removing that html webpage or document file, you it automatically created not found error while accessing through URL.
2. Using Robots.txt file: you can do this by putting following line into your robots.txt file.
'Disallow: URL you want to remove'
3. Using meta tag within your webpage: This can be achieved by putting following meta tag in header of your respective site.


In case you want to take out content of whole directory, 404 is not enough. You must block entry to that exact directory from robots.txt file itself.

You are done. Just wait for the 90 days and your content will likely be taken from google's. If you wish to cancel the removal request at time during this period, it can be done from your webmasters tools account.
