Casa Mila - Popularly known as 'La گرداگرد ' (The Rock Pile) and constructed between 1905 and 1911, Barcelona's Casa Mila is Gaudi's inimitable and interesting building block, which has an art exhibition hall and an access to the terrace area. This design of this multi-story apartment block has been created by Gaudi in a unique manner - a complete departure from the known principles of construction. This has made the building look more like a piece of artwork rather than a constructional creation. You will not find any absolute straight lines; the fascia of the building block features rounded windows along with metal balcony balustrades intertwined in the manner of climbing plants and an arched roof-line where you will find the many chimneys lend a formal character instead of a functional one.

La Ramblas - One of the famous Barcelona tourist attractions is this long boulevard joining the Placa de Catalunya to the Monument a Colom (Columbus monument) by a port. Throughout the daytime you will find various types of mime artists performing in the area and the little stalls selling items like newspapers, flowers, rabbits and birds. Check out the magnificent 18th-century mansion of Palau de la Virreina, positioned to the Boqueria market.

Platja de Sant Sebastia - Talking of beaches, you need to visit Platja de Sant Sebastia which is one of the most visited Barcelona tourist attractions to get a true feeling of being in exotic beaches. Offering a coastline of more than 4 km / 2.5 miles, the beach is lined with tall swaying palms and strewn with plenty of little shacks, play areas for children, lifeguards, and showers.

L'Aquàrium - One of the top Barcelona tourist attractions, this sealife aquarium, housed in an exclusive transparent building, witnesses huge footfall of visitors from various parts of the world. You can view a huge range of marine life including sharks. The children can have a ball here as there is a play area for them.

Columbus Monument - With a height of 60meters and a weight of 205 tons, the Monument a Cristofor Colom stands proudly at the Plaça del Portal de la Pau. Originally built for the World Exhibition in the year 1888, it has an iron column totally covered with a variety of allegorical figures. You will find around the base a string of reliefs portraying the various important phases in the life of Columbus and his voyages of discovery. A 26ft high statue of Columbus pointing out to the sea adorns the top of the column. You can climb up the structure in an elevator and have a look at the beautiful views of the port and the city.
