Be Transformed by Renewing The mind

How do a prominent preacher or pastor who thousands follow and millions abroad began to know and love find yourself behaving in immoral techniques most everyday church members would not? It is a question We are sometimes asked. The issue continues to be occasioned through the recent conduct of some prominent Christian leaders. Among those who raise such question have been in effect questioning whether or not such spiritual leaders possess a genuine relationship with the Lord. I have faith that these occurrences highlight the importance of the need to renew our mind.

The Bible lets us know to, "Be ye transformed through the renewing of the mind" (Romans 12:2). Paul the apostle was required to write these words to the church at Rome. Put simply, these words just weren't fond of the world but on the believers in Christ.

Why is this a tremendous point? Because the persons whom Paul was writing to were already Christians, he tells them they must become transformed by renewing their mind. This aspect lays the building blocks for I would like to address in this post.

The key point is always that although were born again and turned into a fresh creation the moment we accept Christ as our Savior, the renewing in our mind is not instantaneous. And simply because we now have become born again does not mean we do not have screwed up thinking that should be handled.

God doesn't want us to consentrate because world does. He wants us to possess a God-focused view about life. As an illustration, I sense that many Christians are troubled by the events currently happening in your world: The economy is bad, earthquakes are abounding plus much more destructive, crimes have grown to be more unthinkable, our government virtually dysfunctional, etc.

Consider it. Before we came to Christ, we had been living over unhealthy food on this world: music with objectionable lyrics, pornography, dysfunctional family settings, promiscuity, physical or emotional abuse, etc. If we want to be attuned to God also to manage to sense the leadership of His Spirit in life, we should get this junk from our mind and renew our thinking for being one with Him. Again, our main tool for accomplishing this change of system is the term of God.

This call to become transformed from the renewing of our system is no option but a commandment: "Let this mind have you, that was and in Christ Jesus" (Philippians. 2:5). In effect, this verse is really a commandment to permit mental performance of Christ to govern our lives. If our obtaining the mind of Christ was incidental to accepting Christ, the commandment for individuals to "let this mind be in you" will be a vain point, however this is not the case.
